Kim Ki-de’s works, sharp, hurting in the silent realm; tenderness, touching the moment in detail. Kim Ki-Kid was born in 1960, his family embarrassment, education only junior high school, served five years of military service, after the transfer to manual work, before the age of 30, is such a dismal experience, seemingly hopeless. In 1990, at the age of 30, he took a sum of money he had saved to flee to Europe, studied fine arts in France, and returned home two years later to start writing scripts. From 1996’s “Diary of the Crocodile”, Kim set his foot on the director’s path, and now he has become one of the most internationally acclaimed South Korean directors. His experience once again convinced us that a man dedicated to a dream, no matter what its destiny gives him, is merely a delay in his arrival on the other side of the river, but it will never change his pace. He is a storyteller, so that the plots march at the top of the cliff crash, there is no turning back force; people walk in a barren and real situation, save their own province, see the familiar and unfamiliar .
