Objective: To explore the clinical value of routine blood tests using two different blood sampling methods of peripheral blood and venous blood. Methods: 120 blood samples collected from our hospital from July 2015 to July 2016 were collected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, 60 cases in each group. Observation group collected venous blood for blood test. Control group collected peripheral blood for blood tests, comparing the two test results in the indicators. Results: The indexes of hemoglobin, erythrocyte and hematocrit were much higher than those of peripheral blood in the results of venous blood test, while the results of white blood cell count, average volume of erythrocytes were significantly lower than those of peripheral blood. The differences among the indexes were statistically significant Significance (all P <0.05). Conclusion: There are significant differences in blood routine test results obtained by both blood sampling and peripheral blood sampling methods. In order to make clinical diagnosis more accurate, it is recommended to use venous blood for clinical routine blood tests.
