《关于发展现代职业教育的决定》明确指出,国家积极引导普通本科院校向应用技术类高校转型,重点发展本科职业教育。目前,本科层次的应用技术大学在我国高等教育中占据着重要的地位,然而由于建校时间短、学校定位模糊、人才培养同质化、师资力量短缺、教师结构不合理、教师职称偏低等一系列问题,这类院校社会认可度普遍偏低、竞争力弱、优质生源匮乏。为此,应用技术大学英语教师专业发展可以注重行动研究、强化教师在职培训、构建跨学科知识体系、完善相关制度等,加快英语教育与社会需求的高度适应。
