美育,即审美教育,是运用艺术美、自然美、社会美和科学美培养受教育者正确的审美观点和感受美、鉴赏美的能力的教育。它对青少年的成长意义重大,早在春秋时期,伟大的教育家孔子就已经把它列为教育实践的重要部分。小学生正处在身心发展的重要时期,因此培养他们健康的审美观点和审美能力至关重要。小学语文课文文质兼美,蕴含了众多的艺术美、自然美、社会美和科学美,为培养小学生的审美能力提供了丰富的素材。然而,仅以教师的一张嘴、一支粉笔,往往难以让学生感知美、领悟美、想像美。
