“四大南戏”之一的《刘知远白兔记》在戏曲舞台上的演出经久不衰,当代对《白兔记》的改编也屡见不鲜。因此,戏曲演出对传统剧作的传承与创新就成为了一个值得深入思考的问题。顾颂恩改编的越剧《白兔记》从情节设置、剧本结构、戏剧线索和人物形象塑造等方面对古典南戏《白兔记》进行了创新,为其注入了新鲜血液。
The performance of “Liu Zhi Yuan Bai Tu Ji” which is one of the “Four Great Southern Playtimes” on the stage of the opera is enduring. The contemporary adaptation of The White Rabbit is not uncommon. Therefore, the performance and innovation of the traditional dramas in opera performances have become a question worth pondering deeply. Gu’s adaptation of Yue opera “White Rabbit” has innovated into the classic South play “White Rabbit” from aspects of plot setting, script structure, drama clues and characters shaping, injecting fresh blood into it.
