When it comes to Hemingway, our first reaction must be his tough guy image. Into the Hemingway art world, we can easily find that almost none of his works is dominated by women, but he did not hesitate to use a lot of ink to describe women. This article focuses on his works, detailed analysis of several typical works of Hemingway’s brush, with distinctive characteristics of the times women. Through their contradictory, strong and patient character, they reflect the process of the budding, forming and developing of female consciousness in Hemingway’s works.
