To explore Marx’s contribution to the study of world history is undoubtedly an important aspect of our historical study. The recent publication of Peng Shuzhi’s long essay: “The Contribution of Marx to the Study of World History” (“World History”, No. 5, 1990, hereinafter referred to as Peng Wen) is an effort in this regard. Peng Wen systematically demonstrated Marx’s contributions to the study of world history from youth to old age and provided a basic clue for us to understand the origin and establishment of the theoretical history of Marxist history. However, there are also some problems that need to be corrected in the dissertation. In particular, Peng Wen has some obvious mistakes in the application of historical materials in his research on the issue of world history in the early days of Marx. For example, when Peng Wen talked about Marx’s “notes on another world history from 1843 to 1848 that were” Paris Manuscripts "discovered in the 1930s (see World History, No. 5, 1990, p. 4 Page.
