1956年,在中央“双百”方针的指引下,交通部水运科学研究院应运而生,从此担负起“为政府决策提供智力支撑、为行业发展做好技术服务”的光荣使命。55年来,伴随中国水运事业的发展,水科院历经变革、数易其地,却始终默默奉献、精心耕耘,走过了从无到有、从有到专、从专到全、从全到精的光辉历程。
