本研究考察了元话语语言互动资源之一的模糊限制语在中国理工科博士生学术写作中的使用特征。研究通过与国际期刊学者论文语料的对比,发现理工科博士生同期刊论文作者相比,在使用模糊限制语的类型及词汇选择上均有差异;就学科而言,理科博士生比工科博士生在使用模糊限制语方面存在更大的问题与困难。本研究同时为英语作为外语的学术论文写作教学提供启示及借鉴作用。
This study examines the use characteristics of hedges, one of the interactive resources of meta-discourse language, in the academic writing of PhD students in science and engineering in China. By comparing with the corpus of international journals, we find that Ph.D. students in science and engineering have differences in the types of hedges and lexicon selection compared with authors of periodicals. In terms of disciplines, There are bigger problems and difficulties in using hedges. This research also provides enlightenment and reference for the writing teaching of English as a foreign language.
