清初画家渐江(1610-1663)所处的时代是一个分崩离析、天下大乱的时代。明末崇祯甲申(1644)之变时渐江年方34岁,他的家乡徽州一带仍然是南明疆域,直到第二年顺治二年乙酉九月(1645.9)才成为大清属土。南明各政权从崇祯甲申开始一直持续到清顺治十八年辛丑(1661),最终以失败告终。其间很多遗民或积极参与抗清,或以各种方式表示了不与清人合作的决心。渐江亦于顺治二年乙酉避乱入武夷山,并于其后皈依佛门。晚年更是宗净土宗,发愿往生西方净土世界。应当说,这一朝代的更迭给渐江的人生际遇、思想变化带来了极大
In the early Qing Dynasty, the artist Jiang Jian (1610-1663) was in an era of disintegration and chaos in the world.
