Virtual bronchoscopy is a recently developed non-invasive technique that has special problems in children. To understand the potential of this technique to assess tracheobronchial patency in children, the authors performed spiral CT scans and virtual bronchoscopy on eight symptomatic children. Three cases of suspected bronchial bronchitis, the other three suspected vascular ring.
