催乳素(PRL)为分子量约23000的多肽激素,由垂体的泌乳细胞所分泌,对此激素生理功能了解最多的是它与泌乳的关系。Musey等曾报告,妊娠后即对基础的和由苯噻嗪诱发的PRL分泌具有长期的抑制作用。他们推测,孕期低血浆PRL浓度可防止和对抗随后发生乳腺癌,并认为年轻孕妇乳腺癌的危险性降低。虽然上述假说具有吸引力,也可能是正确的,但在当前仍极少直接的实验证据能支持PRL在人乳腺癌中起作用,因而难以作出确定的临床结论。
Prolactin (PRL) molecular weight of about 23000 peptide hormone, secreted by the pituitary lactation cells, the physiological function of this hormone is most about its relationship with lactation. Musey et al. Have reported long-term inhibition of basal and PRL secretion induced by phenothiazine after pregnancy. They speculate that low PRL concentrations during pregnancy prevent and counteract the subsequent development of breast cancer and suggest a reduction in the risk of breast cancer in young pregnant women. Although the above hypothesis may be attractive, it may be correct, but there is still very few direct experimental evidence that supports the role of PRL in human breast cancer so that it is difficult to make a definite clinical conclusion.
