马来平教授的新作《科学的社会性和自主性:以默顿科学社会学为中心》对国外成熟的科学社会学研究成果进行了全面系统的评述和总结,并结合中国的实际,指出了21世纪中国主流科学观的缺陷及其重塑的必要性和方向。该书是从科技哲学角度研究西方科学社会学的理论贡献与应用价值的一次较为成功的尝试。其中,就对默顿科学社会学而言,既有对默顿的守护与坚持,又有作者自己对默顿观点的修正、完善和超越。本书强调的中国主流科学观中科学自主性意识的缺失,应引起相关部门的重视,作者关于21世纪中国主流科学观重塑的呼吁表达了学界共同的心声。
Professor Ma Laiping’s new book, “Sociality and Independence of Science: Centering on Merton’s Scientific Sociology”, gives a comprehensive and systematic review and summary of the research results of mature sociology of science in foreign countries. Combining with the reality of China, it points out that in the 21st century The Flaws of China ’s Mainstream View of Science and the Necessities and Directions for Its Remodeling. The book is a relatively successful attempt to study the theoretical contribution and the application value of western scientific sociology from the perspective of philosophy of science and technology. Among them, as far as Merton’s science sociology is concerned, both Merton’s guardianship and persistence and the author’s own revision, improvement and transcendence of Merton’s point of view. The lack of awareness of scientific autonomy in the mainstream scientific view of China emphasized in this book should draw the attention of relevant departments. The author’s appeal on reshaping China’s mainstream scientific outlook in the 21st century expresses the common aspiration of the academic community.
