《中国食用菌》1989年第一期发表的“平菇培养物废料的营养价值”一文(作者:李育岳、汪麟)指出,“种过平菇的棉籽壳培养物废料中含有较好的营养价值,其中粗蛋白含量平均为6.23%,接近于一般玉米的粗蛋白含量,还含有无氮浸出物44.27%和多种氨基酸”。纤维素含量虽然较棉籽壳有所下降,但含量仍达到32.8%,粗蛋白相对含量则较未栽平菇的棉籽壳上升0.53%。作者受上述文献启发,以平菇培养物废料为主要原料,设计五个配方,接入蘑菇菌种,这五个处理蘑菇菌丝均能定植生长,但长势稍有
