EEG analysis can be used for qualitative analysis, but also for quantitative analysis. Because qualitative studies of schizophrenia on EEG failed to detect specific changes, the researchers began to search for quantitative research methods. The development and widespread use of computers and the generation of fast Fourier transforms have provided a solution to this problem, making it possible to quantify EEG in the frequency domain. Computer can be used for spontaneous EEG, EEG and sleep induced EEG treatment.
