The effects of oxide-type impurities or additives in the iron oxide reduction kinetics were systematically evaluated and the necessary quantitative analysis was performed. The characteristics of its influence are related to the content of impurities, the existing forms and methods of adding impurities, the initial chemical composition and physical properties of the sample, the type of reducing agent, the reaction temperature and the reduction fraction.
