竹子易种植,生长快,效益高。但是,竹子的种植季节十分讲究。否则,种后容易枯死,成活后也出笋少难成林。竹子掌握在“立春”至“雨水”季节间种植成活率最高。因为这阶段气温尚低,竹液流动慢,地下积贮养分较多,芽眼和根点尚未萌动伸长,挖种竹不易伤根芽。种植后,气温逐渐回升,根尖、竹芽和地上枝条的芽苞同时复苏萌动,迅速伸长生长、成活率一般高达98％以上。而“春分”后栽植竹子容易伤及根尖、竹芽,降低成活率。
