海火F.46/FR.46是喷火22型的海军型战斗机,使用了水滴形座舱盖,主翼不能折叠,使用六叶对转桨。机身安装4门20mm航炮和2个500镑炸弹的挂架。《航空模型》上曾刊登过胡其道先生撰写的《模型趣话》系列文章,主要是以环球模型为基础,实施改造,确实令人耳目一新,茅塞顿开。看到喷火的改造篇后,即生制作海火的念头。笔者喜欢海航的飞机,而在当时,AIRFIX出品的1/48“海火”FR.46/47只是奢望.1/32的海火更是闻所未闻;只有着眼笔者偏爱的环球了,自此专心改制。
