Words teaching plays an important part in English language teaching.The aim of words teaching is to improve students’ word power and make students have a good mastery of English vocabulary,which should be based on correct pronunciation,correct meaning understanding and correct cognition about the word formation.Students can master a large amount of words by themselves quickly through knowing the historical development of vocabulary,the word formation and ways of correctly understanding English words.
