6月24日,世界卫生组织在日内瓦和北京同时宣布:解除对北京的旅行警告,同时将北京从非典疫区名单中除名。这标志着肆虐北京几个月的非典型肺炎疫情已基本平息,北京的经济和社会生活即将恢复正常。这同样也标志着中国在抗击“SARS”的斗争中取得了最终胜利。
On June 24, the World Health Organization announced in Geneva and Beijing at the same time: to lift the travel warning to Beijing and to remove Beijing from the list of SARS epidemic areas. This signals that the outbreak of the SARS epidemic that has ravaged Beijing for a few months has basically eased and that the economic and social life in Beijing is about to return to normal. It also marks the final victory China has made in the fight against “SARS.”
