由于没有考虑到设备互操作性的问题,Bluetooth 1.0b规范(Bluetooth Ver-sion 1.0b)没有能够将这一承诺完全变为现实。Bluetooth 1.0b技术规范对不同的特定功能进行了定义,但是却没有指明对这些特定功能的实施标准,从而使得对规范中的这一关键部分内容存在着许多不同的解释。这一问题的后果便是互操作性问题产生并阻碍了标准的广泛实施。当设备厂商A的某一部Bluetooth蜂窝电话无法与来自设备厂商B的Bluetooth PC卡协同工作时,用户从设备厂商C处购买一台Bluetooth打印机的消费念头便会被打消。所幸的是,Bluetooth 1.1规范解决了这些互操作性的问题。
Since no consideration was given to device interoperability, the Bluetooth 1.0-1.0b did not fully materialize this promise. The Bluetooth 1.0b specification defines different specific functions, but does not specify the standards for the implementation of these specific functions, leaving many different interpretations of this key part of the specification. The consequence of this problem is the emergence of interoperability issues that hinder the widespread implementation of standards. When a Bluetooth cellular phone of a device manufacturer A can not work with a Bluetooth PC card from device manufacturer B, the consumer’s desire to purchase a Bluetooth printer from the device manufacturer C is canceled. Fortunately, the Bluetooth 1.1 specification addresses these interoperability issues.
