Human seminal plasma contains a surprising amount of prostaglandins, most of which are PG_K, ranging from 100 to 500 μg / ml, but the biological function of these PGs has not been elucidated yet. Some authors suggest that PGs alter the penetration of sperm into cervical mucus before ovulation. To further evaluate this hypothesis, the authors measured PGs in cervical mucus prior to ovulation. Cervical mucus was collected from 23 healthy women aged 18-43 years, with regular menstruation in all subjects, 5 of whom had an IUD. According to basal body temperature, cervical mucus is collected before ovulation.
