Fox O1 is a member of the Fork transcription family O subfamily, which is well known for its important regulatory role in insulin action. More and more studies have shown that Fox O1 also plays an important regulatory role in liver lipid metabolism Its mechanism may be through the upregulation of microsomal triglyceride transport protein (MTP), apolipoprotein B (Apo B) expression, thereby promoting very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) synthesis in the liver, increased circulation VLDL content. FoxO1 can also inhibit the activity of lipoprotein lipase (LPL), decrease the circulating triglyceride (TG), and promote the expression of triglyceride in hypertriglyceridemia by promoting the expression of Apo CⅢ Occurred at the same time, Fox O1 also inhibits sterol regulatory element binding protein SREBP-1c expression, inhibition of fat synthesis. This article summarizes the impact of Fox O1 on hepatic lipid metabolism, mainly through the above aspects.
