Self-translation is a particular phenomenon of translation.As a kind of translation mode,the combination of the author and the translator,self-translation has its own uniqueness.The notion of intertextuality was put forward in the 1960s for the first time by Kristeva,a French literature critic.In this thesis,the writer compares the self-translation and conventional translation from the perspective of intertextuality in terms of completing the original text,interpreting the text,rewriting the text and micro-intertextuality,in order to sum up the advantages of the self-translation.
