In order to overcome the limitations of the traditional microprocessor architecture, the need for a new system architecture. Traditional system architectures pass parallel commands to the processor by imposing a parallel sort password on the processor. Intel Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. jointly define a new system architecture technology called Clear Parallel Instruction Computation (EPIC).
