I. INTRODUCTION The destruction mechanism of concrete is a complex issue. It is still necessary to make thorough efforts to clarify this issue. In this paper, the preliminary analysis of the concrete failure mechanism is made on the test data of concrete specimens under uniaxial compression conditions. In uniaxially stressed concrete specimens, the development of internal cracks is the root cause of the failure, while the concrete failure is experienced by a process in which the internal cracks are generated, expanded and extended until the concrete is broken into pieces and the bearing capacity is lost.
