一九八九年七月,我在中国美术馆举办个展《最初的四个系列》,这个展览的目的,是在日本现代书法之外,探索中国当代书法创作的道路。当时中国书法创作有两种趋势,一种承续传统,一种在日本现代书法的影响下进行各种探索。我进入书法专业已有十年,探究书法传统的同时,亦希望找到书法创作与当代艺术、当代文化交融的途径。我受惠于传统,亦受惠于现当代艺术——包括日本现代书法,同时又不满足于此。我从题材、笔法、线质、构成、蕴涵等所有能想到的方面去思考、发掘,做成了新诗系列、语词系列、众生系列和待考文
In July 1989, I held a solo exhibition “The First Four Series” at the China Art Museum. The purpose of this exhibition is to explore the way of contemporary Chinese calligraphy beyond the modern Japanese calligraphy. At that time, there were two trends in Chinese calligraphy creation, one that inherited the tradition and one that carried out various explorations under the influence of modern Japanese calligraphy. I have been in the calligraphy profession for a decade now. While exploring the tradition of calligraphy, I also hope to find a way to blend calligraphy with contemporary art and contemporary culture. I have benefited from tradition as well as modern and contemporary art, including modern Japanese calligraphy, while not content with it. I think, explore, made a series of new poems, words series, sentient beings series and pending test article from all the aspects that can be thought of, such as themes, brushwork, line quality, composition and implication
