为贯彻落实中央城镇化工作会议精神,做好历史文化街区保护工作,住房城乡建设部和国家文物局日前联合下发通知,决定开展中国历史文化街区的申报认定工作。通知要求,申报工作由历史文化街区所在地城市人民政府提出申请,省、自治区、直辖市人民政府城乡规划主管部门会同文物主管部门初审同意后,按程序上报。各地申报的中国历史文化街区原则上是省级人民政府公布的历史文化
In order to implement the spirit of the Central Urbanization Work Conference and do a good job in the protection of historical and cultural blocks, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage jointly issued a circular a few days ago to decide on the declaration and approval of Chinese historical and cultural blocks. According to the circular, the application for declaration shall be filed by the people’s government of the city where the historic and cultural block is located. The urban and rural planning department of the people’s government of the province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government, together with the competent department of cultural relics for preliminary examination, shall report the case according to the procedure. The declared historical and cultural blocks in China are in principle the historical and cultural promulgated by the provincial people’s government
