The new round of curricular reforms in full swing brought a whole new vision for basic education in the new century and also put forward newer and higher requirements on the current Chinese teaching in primary schools. The new curriculum standard states: “Chinese courses are devoted to the formation and development of students’ Chinese literacy.” The traditional teaching methods of the past teachers, “a chalk” and “a word of honor” have long been unable to meet the needs of today’s students.
