冯绍裘是滇红创始人,被称为中国著名的红茶专家。在记载冯绍裘生平事迹的史料中,有这样一段文字:“冯绍裘见凤庆茶树成林,凤山大叶茶高达丈余,芽壮叶肥,白毫浓密,品质优异,极适宜制作精品红茶,就用凤山鲜茶精心制成红茶250多克,为云南最早的红茶。茶质优越,香味浓郁,为国内仅见。后试产红茶送到香港茶市,茶界一片叫好,称为上品。云南茶业界大喜,将凤庆红茶命名为‘滇红’”。原来试制著名“滇红”的原料是凤山茶!
