一在胡济图河营地,中国西北科学考查团兵分三路后,北队于1927年7月1日在瑞典地质学家那林的率领下出发了。在出发的时候,年轻的北队队员丁道衡不会知道,一次伟大的发现正等待着他;也不会知道,他的名字将会和“白云鄂博”这四个字联结并产生永恒的意义。丁道衡是贵州平远(今织金)人,1899年出生。祖父丁宝桢是晚清洋务派大员,曾因诛杀骄纵不法的大太监安德海而声震朝野,是与曾国藩、左宗棠齐名

He was rescued by the grand eunuch of Andehai, who was overruled and guilty of being unruly and arrogant. It was the same name as Zeng Guofan and Zuo Zongtang
