在3月2日与新闻媒体交流会上,信息产业部电信管理局周宝信副局长透露,由中国电信、联通、吉通联台进行的为期6个月的IP电话试验即将开始,并将在年内正式推出IP电话业务。据信息产业部官员说,所选择的三家公司都是国内最大的电信或Internet运营商,具有雄厚的技术优势;三家公司将在试验期间,解决技术问题,积累经验、开发相应软件;此次试验将覆盖25个城市,在试验期间共同实行低于传统费用的统一费率。另悉 IP电话经营许可证发放工作也于今年下半年开始,其范围限于国内的电信及Internet运营商,并且限制经营许可证发放数量。同时关于IP电话的各种产品也要发放入网许可证。
