学习者动机指的是学习者在学习过程中渴望提高进步的意愿。学习者的动机会使得教与学过程进展顺利并且身心愉快同时获得良好的效果。各种研究表明动机与语言学习的进步有很强的联系。两者谁是因谁是果呢?即:是语言学习的成功导致了动机更强还是动机导致了语言学习的成功?也有人提出一个问题:学习动机和语言哪个更重要。有一个研究(Naniman et.,1978)提出:动机还是更重要。在教学过程中确实要提高学习者在英语活动中的动机和策略。
Learner motivation refers to learners’ desire to progress in learning. The learner’s motivation will make the teaching and learning process progress smoothly and be both physically and mentally effective. Various studies show that motivation has a strong connection with the progress of language learning. Who is the result of both? That is: is the success of language learning led to a stronger motivation or motivation led to the success of language learning? Someone also raised a question: which motivation and language learning is more important. One study (Naniman et. 1978) argues that motivation is still more important. In the process of teaching, we really need to improve learners’ motivation and tactics in English activities.
