Noise Hazards In the United States, about 30 million people are exposed to harmful noises for occupational reasons each year. Noise-induced hearing loss has been listed as one of the most common occupational health problems in the United States for 25 years. Every year tens of thousands of workers suffer from unnecessary hearing loss due to the high noise intensity in the workplace.
