本溪水洞风景名胜区是以水洞为中心,包括温泉、庙后山、关门山、汤沟和铁刹山在内的国家重点风景名胜区,同大连海滨、千山风光、长白山景联袂相映形成东北亚风景旅游胜地之一。本溪水洞是数百万年前形成的大型充水溶洞,距本溪市26公里的东部山区太子河畔,东经124度5分:北纬40度18分。本溪水洞风景名胜区1 994年被中华人民共和国国务院批准为国家重点风景名胜区:1 997年被国际旅游洞穴协会接纳为亚洲首批会员;2002年被国家旅游局评为4A级名胜风景区,并通过了ISO9002质量体系认证。自对外开放以来,仅本溪水洞就接待了120个国家和地区的中外游客800余万人次,这其中有40多个国家和地区的元首和政府首脑,被誉为“亚洲一流”、“世界罕见”、“天下奇观”。

Since opening to the outside world, Benxi Water Cave has hosted more than 8 million Chinese and foreign tourists from 120 countries and regions, including heads of state and government in over 40 countries and regions, and is known as “the best in Asia” “Rare in the world ”, “world wonders ”.
