Japan’s “tilt-competition” development strategy and Taiwan’s “crack-in” development strategy are two different economic strategies, and both have achieved success. A comparative analysis of these two kinds of economic development strategies will help us to study the choice of national and regional economic strategies. I. Similarities and Differences between Japan and Taiwan in Developing Strategic Economic Conditions Tilting competition strategy is an extraordinary development strategy and belongs to the unbalanced development model of the national economy. It chose one or several industries as its pillar industries and devoted all its efforts to give priority to development in order to gain a leading position in the international market and then promote the development of the domestic economy. Throughout Japan’s post-war development of more than 40 years, the strategy of leaning competition has always been implemented. Crack attack strategy, refers to the choice of those who are not
