《中西文化交流视阈下的<论语>英译研究》是对古典文学翻译理论的一个有益尝试,也为《论语》英译作了全面的理论总结,更涉及中国文化的传播、中国哲学的诠释、孔子学院的功效等当代翻译与文化交流等方面的现实问题。本书的特色主要表现在以下四个方面:全面的考察、分类研究、文化显化、问题意识。这些特色对古典文学翻译领域内的中国语言研究、中国文化研究、中国形象研究都有意义。不过,本书的写作也存在一定的局限,一是研究范围问题,二是研究重点问题,三是译者身份问题。若能进一步解决上述问题,本书的特点将更加突出。
"A Study of English Translation of The Analects of Confucius under the Visual Threshold of Cultural Exchange between China and the West is a useful attempt to translate the classical literature theory and a comprehensive theoretical summary of the English translation of the Analects of Confucius. It is more about the spread of Chinese culture and the interpretation of Chinese philosophy , The effectiveness of the Confucius Institute and other contemporary translation and cultural exchange aspects of the reality. The book features mainly in the following four aspects: a comprehensive study, classification studies, cultural development, problem awareness. These characteristics are of great significance to Chinese language studies, Chinese culture studies and Chinese image studies in classical literature translation. However, the writing of the book also has some limitations, one is to study the scope of the problem, the second is to study the key issues, the third is the translator identity issues. If we can further solve the above problems, the characteristics of this book will be more prominent.
