由美国阿卡迪亚大学的教授和学生及费城市的若干校长和教师组成的教育访华团于2002年5月23—30日在华东师范大学进行了工作和学习性访问,即由中国教授对美国学生教授关于中国文化和中国教育的课程,由美国教授进行学术讲演并为中国学生讲授数学教育。他们与中国的同行进行了广泛的接触,参观访问了上海的若干中小学。应译者之邀,其中若干教授和教师回国后撰写了他们对中国教育的感受和印象,并通过电子邮件传送给我。既为印象记,内容难免显得比较浅显,但这或许也在一定程度上代表了绝大多数非中国教育研究专家的国外人士对中国教育的初步认识。
An educational mission of education made up of professors and students from Arcadia University in the United States and a number of principals and teachers in Philadelphia conducted a working and study tour at East China Normal University from May 23 to May 2002, Teaching American students on Chinese culture and Chinese education, academic lectures by American professors and mathematics education for Chinese students. They had extensive contacts with their Chinese counterparts and visited several primary and secondary schools in Shanghai. At the invitation of the translator, some of the professors and teachers wrote their feelings and impressions on education in China and sent them via e-mail to me. It is both an impression and an unavoidable content, but this may also represent to some extent the initial understanding of Chinese education by foreigners who are not the majority of non-Chinese educational research experts.
