Objective:To introduce the operating technique of one stage modified FVFG (free vascularized fibular gaffing) for the treatment of bilateral ONFH (osteonecrosis of the femoral head) and evaluate its clinical effects. Methods:From October 2000 to December 2006,80 patients (160 hips) with bilateral ONFH were treated with one stage modified FVFG.The average duration of follow-up was 30 months. The bilateral fibular vessels are anastomosed simultaneously with the lateral femoral circumflex vessles at the end of operation.
