Objective:To investigate the influence of the pedical screw insertion through the neurocentral cartilage on the growth of the vertebra by animal experiment.Methods:26 dogs(about 2months) were random assigned into 3 groups:(1)Only dissected posterior muscle without probed the pedicle; (2) Inserted the pedicle screws and then took them away;(3)Inserted the pedicle screws in.The vertebra T8,T10,T12,L2,L4,L6 were studied and the average of every adjacent two served as self control.After three months,spiral computerized tomography (CT) were used to measure the morphology of the vertebra.
