　　Glutamate is an important excitatory neurotransmitter in the CNS.Extracellular glutamate can be regulated by excitatory amino acids transporters(EAATs)of the SLC1A family located on the membrane of neuronal or astroglial cells.EAAT3/EAAC1 expression in peripheral lung tissue was examined for the first time in this study.
