  Mifepristone(RU486,MIF)acted as the progesterone receptor(PR)modulator has been widely used for emergency contraception and to provoke early-stage abortion.Recently,it has been approved by the Federal Drug Administration(FDA)to treat hyperglycemia associated with Cushings syndrome.Besides its abortifacient effect,MIF has been shown to have anticancer activities in cancer cell lines or in clinical trials [1,2].However,some side-effects of MIF including nausea,vomiting,and bleeding are still found in the clinic trails.
