Pelvic radiotherapy + concurrent cisplatin-containing chemotherapy and followed by brachy therapy is deemed the standard treatment for locally advanced cervical cancer, FIGO stage (Ⅰb2, Ⅱa2, Ⅱb, Ⅲ, Ⅳa).The prevalence of para-aortic nodal metastasis in these patients is 10-25%.If there is metastatic para-aortic nodal disease radiotherapy is extended to additionally cover this area.
