Back-end effect is one of most common effects during hollow profile extrusion, which has great influence on the product rate and production costs.The purpose of the present study is to investigate experimentally and numerically the back-end effects during extrusion process.For a given hollow profile, the billet-on-billet extrusion process will be simulated numerically with the Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian code HyperXtrude.
