辽宁省锦州市为了全面贯彻党的教育方针,推动学校体育工作的开展,早在1981年就开始试行了重点高中招生考试体育的制度。十年来,锦州市教委在省教委的支持下,排除了种种干扰,克服了重重困难,终于把这一制度坚持了下来,并在实践中不断总结经验,妥善解决体育考试中暴露出来的一些问题,使这一制度逐步得到了完善。实践证明,升学考试体育,是一项全面贯彻党的教育方针的重要政策,是推动学校体育工作开展,提高体育教育质量的有效措施。锦州市青少年学生身体发育水平、身体素质水平及体育能力等之所以能大幅度地超过全国平均水平,而处于领先地位,故然是众多因素综合作用的结果,但推行升学考试体育的制度,则是最重要的一
