本文介绍的自动润滑方式在我国很少采用，我国工厂的绝大多数机器是采用手工加润滑油或润滑脂的润滑方式，而在化工和炼油厂，集中润滑方式（类似于自动润滑方式）仅限于离心式压缩机组（包括压缩机、增速器、电动机或汽轮机）。这种方式与自动润滑相比生产成本高。这里介绍的自动润滑方式系统在技术上并不复杂，目的是让更多工程技术人员了解它的可靠性和能降低生产成本等优点，从而推动这一技术在我国尽快发展。
