On the day of September 2009, a special train arrived in London from Prague. Sir Nicholas Winton, then 100, was waiting at the station carrying the Jewish children he had rescued from Nazi-occupied Prague on the eve of World War II. They now come to London along the same route of the year and visit the “Wadden father” who gave them a new life. In 1939, 70 years ago, in 1939, Winton organized eight trains successively to help 669 Jewish children flee hell and come to Britain. Half a century after the dusty seal, the past was known and brought tremendous attention to his later years. The low profile “British version of Schindler” passed away on July 1, 2015. And more than 6,000 people, including those rescued and their children, were remembered and remembered.
