新的高职教育改革提出高职英语教学需要面向职业教育目标,把英语教学与专业教育结合起来,注重提高学生的职业素养和职业能力。但现实情况却大相径庭。河南省部分高校打着“加紧发展专业课程”的旗号,大幅缩减英语课时,把高职英语归于“无用处学科”之列。本文从这一现象的调查和分析入手,呼吁高职院校的英语教学要把英语教学与专业培养结合起来,以学生真实运用语言的能力作为培养目标,以培养实用型人才为主原则,注重提高学生的职业素养和职业能力,理性推进英语课程教学的改革研究。
The new reform of higher vocational education put forward that higher vocational English teaching needs to face the goal of vocational education, combining English teaching with professional education, paying attention to improving students’ professional accomplishment and professional ability. But the reality is very different. Some colleges and universities in Henan Province, under the banner of “stepping up the development of professional courses”, drastically reduced English language classes and classified vocational English as “useless disciplines.” Starting from the investigation and analysis of this phenomenon, this paper calls for the English teaching in higher vocational colleges to combine English teaching with professional training, take the students’ ability of using the language as their training objective, cultivate practical talents as the main principle, and pay attention to Improve Students’ Professional Accomplishments and Professional Ability, Rationally Promote the Reform of English Courses Teaching.
