凤鸣岐是吴敬梓在《儒林外史》后期塑造的个性鲜明的侠士形象。当吴敬梓的“以礼乐化俗”的政治理想和追求纯朴民风的社会理想无法实现后,作者把希望寄托在少数市井奇人和侠士身上,以此表达作者后期的人生追求和理想。作者试图通过凤鸣岐人物的人格价值,来打破现实官场和社会中固有的秩序,揭露吏治和科举制度的腐败,惩治社会腐朽势力,匡扶正义,保护弱者,表现人性中的至真至善,实现自我心目中的公平和正义。
Feng Ming Qi is Wu Jingzi in the “Scholars” the shape of a distinctive personality of the paladin image. After Wu Jingzi’s political ideal of “merciful and ritualized” and the social ideals of pursuing pure folk custom can not be realized, the author pin his hopes on the strangers and the chivalrous persons in a few cities in order to express the author’s later life pursuit and ideal. The author attempts to break the inherent order in officialdom and society through the personality value of Fengmingqi, expose the corruption of the official and the imperial examination system, punish the decadent social forces, uphold the justice, protect the weak, show the true nature of humanity, Achieve fairness and justice in your own mind.
