Raytheon’s improved Hawker missiles were launched from missile launchers at the target target aircraft during training maneuvers. The pulse-intercepting radar antenna (installed in a conspicuous position) operates in the D-band and uses it to receive the energy reflected back from the target. The pulse-intercepting radar system has a moving target display and staggered pulse repetition rate. RF pulses are generated by a stable high-power oscillator suitable for moving target display.
